The historical houses HISTORIA – CORTE CHIESA, dating back to the early 1500, are placed in the most ancient “Court” of the town of Corigliano d’Otranto, adjacent to the Mother Church of San Nicola, a few steps from the medieval Castello De’ Monti.
The typical architecture of the “ case a corte” is characterized by the configuration of a space for the community life, a kind of people’s sitting room where, in times gone, many families used to live for most of the day chatting, embroidering and helping each other with the houseworks. The three dwellings completely independent overlook in a common atrium, “courtyard” indeed, in a romantic and reserved space, furnished with gazebo and sitting areas.
The houses have been renovated respecting the architectural techniques of the time, preserving the large fireplaces in Lecce stone (pietra leccese) and the historical particularities of the place. The residences are equipped with all comforts such as a comfortable double bed, a kitchenette complete with everything you need, a private balcony and/or patio, air-conditioned environment, TV, wifi, private bathroom with large shower, hairdryer, courtesy line, bed linen and towels, breakfast kit.
